Community Guidelines
Studydrive is much more than just a student platform - we are always there for you: a shoulder to lean on, providing you with learning material without having to leave your couch. A place for you and your fellow students to exchange opinions and ask questions. A news channel for students of all disciplines around the world.
You can and should interact with other students, share your thoughts and exchange materials. It does not matter who you are or where you come from. We appreciate and cherish positive interaction, which is why we support a helpful, friendly and diverse community.
We have created these guidelines to ensure that every single Studydriver feels at home. If this is too much for you to read, here is a snappy summary: As students, you are all in the same boat, so be helpful and treat each other with respect!
General Behaviour
- Life is easier when we help each other and have each other’s backs. Be kind to each other and treat others with respect. Spread the love!
- Remember that there are real people behind the screen who also have feelings, opinions, thoughts and fears. Never forget that you don't know them and their entire background, so please keep an open mind. Do not have any prejudices!
- We do not accept cyberbullying! Behaviour that is intended to harrass, threaten or bully others is not allowed on Studydrive. If you notice that someone else is not behaving correctly, please report this to us.
- On Studydrive you can give yourself a cool name. There are almost no limits to your creativity. But be careful not to abuse this feature by choosing an inappropriate name (e.g. use names of real people and pretend to be them).
Communication
- Your protection and privacy are of the utmost importance for us. Therefore, please do not disclose any personal information about other users without their permission. This includes name, email address, phone number, social media account, photo or other private information.
- Please do not write false, inappropriate or offensive comments.
- Everyone should feel welcome and understood: Therefore, please communicate only in the languages that are understood on the platform. German and English are supported in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, English and Dutch in the Netherlands and English in the UK.
- We are strictly against content that could be offensive to anyone because of their ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, gender, age or sexual orientation.
- Do not post commercial or non-commercial contributions for advertising purposes. This is called (surreptitious) advertising and pretty much nobody likes it.
- Do not publish the same thing over and over again.
- Don't write "push" or similar words to mark a post. Nobody likes that. If no one has replied to the post, ask again.
- We love order! We have special groups for specific topics, so please only ask questions that relate to the group's topic. University groups are therefore only set up for study-related topics. If you want to talk about non-study-related topics, you are welcome to do so in the topic groups.
- We are always working hard to make sure that Studydrive is tailored to your needs, to keep up with the times and to release the most up to date features. But we need your feedback for this! Use the Studydrive App & Website Feedback group to tell us about your ideas and comments. We are always happy to receive your message.
Documents
- Upload only documents that do not violate the copyrights of others. This can be:
- Self-created documents
- Documents that are not subject to copyright or for which a general right of use has been granted
- Documents for which you have been granted the right by the rights holder to use the document and make it publicly available on our platform.
- You are responsible for ensuring that the uploaded documents comply with legal requirements. The publication of copyrighted, illegal or offensive material is prohibited. Permitted learning materials are, for example, lecture and exam notes, summaries, solutions and flashcards.
- The content of a single teaching unit cannot be divided into several documents. Merge documents and photos that belong together into one document before uploading, otherwise it will be really annoying for your fellow students!
- Make sure that your documents are readable and, if you want to share handwritten documents, that they are cleanly scanned or photographed.
- Supported document formats are: pdf, doc, docs, jpeg, png, xls
- No documents may be uploaded twice or again in the same or different courses.
Support
- Our community management team ensures that all potential violations are identified, reviewed and eliminated. In addition, you will always be given a reason for these measures so that no big question marks arise.
- Users who violate our community guidelines will face consequences. If you repeatedly violate our policies, your account may be temporarily or permanently suspended. If the account is permanently suspended, a user may not create a new account.
- Any comments/post/document can be reported using the *Report* function.
- If we have made a mistake, please let us know. You can of course appeal against this decision at any time and we can enter into a mutual, fair exchange. Just report your error here: info@studydrive.net
