The Three Waves of AI
Erste Welle 1970-2000:
– Gute Argumentation für kleine Probleme
– kein lernen
– GOFAI → Good old fashioned AI: Wissen durch experten Systeme, Regel basiert
Zunahme der Verfügbarkeit von Trainingsdaten, Zunahme der Rechenleistung
Zweite Welle 2000-heute:
– gut im Lernen und Wahrnehmen,
– Minimale Fähigkeit zum logischen Denken und Verallgemeinern, keine Kontextfähigkeit
– Fortgeschrittene Text-, Sprach-, Sprach- und Bildverarbeitung
Die Fähigkeit, aus Daten zu lernen, ohne dass diese vorher von Menschen beschriftet oder kategorisiert wurden
Dritte Welle Anfang 2020:
– sehr gut bei Lernen und Wahrnehmen und begründen
– Fähigkeit zur Generalisierung,
– Benötigt weitaus weniger Datenproben für das Training, kann mit minimaler Überwachung lernen und funktionieren.
→ weit entfernt von künstlicher allgemeiner Intelligenz (Denken, Lernen und Problemlösen auf menschlichem Niveau).
Was ist Machine learning:
Maschinelles Lernen als ein Mittel zur Erreichung von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI)
– ist die Fähigkeit, ohne explizite Programmierung zu lernen (Samuel, 1959)
– 2 Arten des maschinellen Lernens: überwachtes und unüberwachtes Lernen
Beispiele für Modelle des maschinellen Lernens:
Deep Learning bzw. künstliche neuronale Netze, Entscheidungsbäume, Bayessche Netze

Definition AI: Fähigkeit einer Maschine, kognitive Funktionen auszuführen, die wir mit dem menschlichen Verstand assoziieren, wie Wahrnehmung, logisches Denken, Lernen, Interaktion mit der Umgebung, Problemlösung, Entscheidungsfindung und sogar Kreativität.
