Johnson & Johnson GmbH is recruiting for a Legal Counsel (f/m/d) for our Central Europe Law Department located in Neuss, Germany, on part-time basis (30 hours)

The Central Europe Legal Department supports the consumer products sector for the Central and Eastern European Countries. We are a small team of highly engaged lawyers supporting the businesses on diverse legal matters. We work in the international environment of a multi-national company with a large local component.


  • Support marketing teams of, among others, cosmetic products and “over the counter” drugs on all legal aspects (artwork approval, legal check of marketing activities (such as sweepstakes, social media activities, promotions etc.), regulatory matters, coordination of disputes with competitors in collaboration with outside counsel)
  • Advise on contractual matters
  • Support the Sales teams (traditional and eCommerce) on all legal questions
  • Potentially take over responsibility for one or more other Central European countries
  • Advise and collaborate with Health Care Compliance Officer
  • Support all other departments regarding legal questions as needed
  • Connect with other functions and groups within the group of companies on larger projects across the J&J sectors and/or countries and regions
  • Support Legal Director in establishing and setting up trainings for the employees on legal and related matters

  • Fully qualified Lawyer (Volljurist, accreditation in Germany) with a minimum of 16 points out of both exams

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 2-5 years practical experience, ideally in the consumer products/health care industry
  • Good knowledge of UWG, HWG, General Civil Law
  • Business fluent German and English
  • Very good analytical and communication skills, open mindedness, team spirit, agility, enthusiasm and willingness to take decisions
  • Independent and responsible way of working

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Antitrust Laws and Data Protection Laws, experience in Social Media and eCommerce tools would be an additional asset
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical Laws
  • Experience in Regulatory Matters
